A Classic Game: Wonder Boy in Monster Land
I totally loved this game!!!
It was a side-scrolling on RPG on Sega. I loved it because you were able to buy better weapons and equipment and so progress your character like I was able to in the paper RPGs I played at the time. Interestingly it also had a save system; not to the Sega Master System, because that had no hard drive, but via a system of codes where the game gave you a string of characters to represent your position and kit which you wrote down and could re-enter to resume. I was never able to read my own writing though and so lost saves often.
Still can’t read my own writing.

Loved this game! The saving system drove me nuts as well.
