Some Recent Posts on my Newsletters

February 5, 2026

So currently I’m running three newsletters and I wanted to just note them and the most recent posts there:

Exploring Game Gevelopment
This newsletter is my personal thoughts, reflections and explorations of video game development. Most recent post is: The Meme-ification of GamingAn exploration of why short, sticky lumps of information have proliferated in gaming and why it will continue.

Exploring Warhammer
I’m currently writing an, as yet, untitled book about the early history of Warhammer 40,000 – focused around the release of Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader (1987) up until the release of the 2nd edition (1993). This newsletter is my base for the project. My focus, for the book, is on how the game came together, what influenced it, what it influenced and – more importantly – what lessons other game designers & developers (be they physical or digital) can learn from this seminal title. Most recent post: A History of Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader in 5 Less Obvious Objects – Part Three – The Chainsword!

Climate Hopium
This newsletter is here to focus on the positive climate stories, the ones that give us hope that together, we can turn hope into action and a better future. Most recent post: A January 2026 Update from Climate Copium – Happy new year to you all and an update from me here at Climate Copium for the coming year.
